March During March Against War And Occupation
Hello all, this is my mid-March post.
Fist of all I wanted to encourage everyone who can to participate in this demonstration:
Where: Everywhere (In Toronto - Queen's Park To Trinity-St.Paul's Church)
When: Saturday, March 15th. 1:00 pm
Breakdown Of Events:
1:00pm - Queen's Park
Co-sponsored by the Housing Not War Campaign
1:30pm - to Trinity-St. Paul's Church
2:30pm - 427 Bloor Street West
Featuring speakers, spoken word and hip hop, live webcast of Winter Soldier testimony from Washington, DC, and testimony of US war resisters in Canada.
I like seeing politicians being confronted and held slightly (if even symbolically) accountable for their deeds and didn't(s). I thought it was pathetic that the Liberal Party didn't challenge the Conservatives, on the absence on spending for the lack of affordable housing in the latest budget or for their stalling tactics on climate change.
I went to a great talk last night on the Dominion Paper and Independent Media (no, not www.indymedia.org). It was a great and well attended presentation and I'd like to contribute to the paper soon. I encourage anyone who reads this blog to check it out and consider a subscription and/or a membership.
The two presenters were Dru Oja Jay and Stuart Neatby; both friends and comrades of both Éabha and I.

Kyna and I are looking forward to the post-flood warmth when we can get out and throw the ball around. I do the throwing. Éabha is looking forward to coming home soon and I'm looking forward to having her back. I may have some new photos of her to post soon, and someone remind me next month by comment or something to take some video of her and post it here; you wouldn't believe her vocabulary! Oh, and one more thing, I think I caught a lucky break with one of the boards around here so...fingers crossed for next month's interview.
