Hiking in Antigonish
This is a short post to introduce these photos from our trip to Antigonish where we went on the Fairmont Ridge Hiking Trail in Antigonish. It was a great trip, despite the fact that Eabha was a little sick.
Sorry some of the photos are cut short at the bottom...there seems to be a compatability issue with the program I've been using to post photos and a particular setting on my camera.
Eabha is doing really well and is enjoying a new kitchen play set (photos to come). I've been getting a lot of teaching jobs and have been fairly busy generally with that and becoming active again with HCAP (Halifax Coalition Against Poverty).
I've also been contemplating getting involved with the NDP's Socialist Caucus.

Here is a video that everyone should see it was sent by a friend of mine.
If that made you angry, or otherwise inclined to get up and do something:
*The following are the names of some of the individuals known to be missing, ncluding children as young as seven years old. *It is believed they are being detained by the Chinese authorities in violation of Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees, and most notably the convention on the Rights of the Child, to which China is a signatory.

*Take Action Now for the Release of the Nangpa Pass Detainees*
This Thursday, November 30th, marks the 2 month anniversary of the *Nangpa Pass shootings which shocked the world and revealed the true nature of China's rule in
Tibet. On this day, Tibetans and their supporters are taking action for the release of those still detained as a result of the incident. Below are simple ways you can help build momentum for this Global Day of Action and show China that the world is watching.
*1) Submit a photo now, join the demonstration in cyberspace.* Check out
the recently launched website *http://chinawouldyoushootme.org and join people from around the world who are asking China's leadership one simple question, China: Would you Shoot Me Too? We'll publicize the site to make sure the Chinese authorities are aware of how shameful their actions are to the rest of the world. Photos can be sent to *photos@studentsforafreetibet.org*
*please include the location of the photo (city and country) in the email.
2) *Join a protest at your local Chinese embassy/consulate*. *Click here
for a list of creative action ideas and rally locations. If you are organizing a protest at the Chinese embassy/consulate in your community, please let us know by emailing kala@studentsforafreetibet.org
3) *Plan a Fax Action at a Chinese embassy/consulate near you.* Show China the world has not forgotten the attack at Nangpa Pass and speak out for those still detained. Organize an action booth on your campus or in your community. *Click here
Please let us know what you're planning on November 30th, so we can publicize the actions taking place around the world. Email *campaigns@studentsforafreetibet.org*
